What Does the Taurus Standard Actually Look Like?
It shows up in the details long before the project is finished.
Get Your Free QuoteEvery electrician will tell you they do quality work. That is easy to say and hard to check, so we wrote ours down and photographed it on a real job in Chilliwack. What follows is the standard in the order you would run into it, frame by frame, from the evening we pull up to the night the last light gets switched on. If we ever fall short of it, we want to hear about it.

01 / 05 Showing up when the project needs us
Being dependable means keeping our work moving so the rest of the build can keep moving too.
On a build with a dozen trades on it, electrical is rarely the thing everyone is waiting on, right up until it is. Framing wraps, drywall is booked, and if the rough-in is not finished the whole schedule slides a week. So we treat our dates as commitments to the other trades and not just to the homeowner, and if something is going to move you hear it from us before it turns into your problem. It is the same reason we keep room in the week for emergency calls, because a panel that lets go on a Friday night does not wait for Monday.

02 / 05 Planning carefully before the walls close
The decisions made during rough-in affect how smoothly everything comes together later.
Rough-in is the cheapest moment to get something right and the most expensive one to get wrong. Once the drywall is on, moving a circuit means opening a wall. So before we pull a single wire we go through it with you: where the panel lands, how much capacity to leave spare for an EV charger or a heat pump you might add in five years, which circuits have to be dedicated. Where the work needs a permit we pull it, we build to BC Electrical Code, and we book the final inspection ourselves rather than leaving you to chase it. The quote is itemized by labour, materials and permits before anything starts. If we open a wall and find something nobody expected, we stop and talk to you about it. Finding a problem is normal. Billing you for it without asking is not.
-
03 / 05 Keeping the work clean and organized
Most of this work will eventually be hidden, but that does not make the quality any less important.
Nobody photographs the inside of a junction box. Cable runs disappear behind drywall, and the only people who will ever see how a panel is dressed are the inspector and the next electrician. We work as though both are coming, because eventually both do. Terminations torqued to spec, breakers labelled so a circuit can be found without guessing, cable run in line and stapled properly instead of pulled wherever it lands. That costs a bit of time on the day, and it is most of the difference between work that is still fine in twenty years and work that gets rediscovered during somebody's renovation.
-
04 / 05 Respecting the homeowner and every trade on site
A good working relationship makes a difference, especially on a project with this many people involved.
Most of our work happens in somebody's house while they are still living in it, or on a site where five other trades are trying to finish their own day. So we clean up as we go and again before we leave, we keep the power on where we can, and you get told the night before when it has to come off. When we explain what we found and what we would do about it, we do it in plain language rather than trade shorthand, and we walk you through the finished work so you know what went in and how to use it. In my experience the jobs that go badly are almost never the technical ones. They are the ones where nobody talked to each other.

05 / 05 Delivering work we are proud to stand behind
That is the Taurus Standard, from the first stages of the build to the final switch being turned on.
The last day on a job is the one that tells you what the first four parts were worth. Inspections pass without a list of corrections behind them, the panel directory matches what is actually on each breaker, and the lighting does what it was drawn to do the first time it is switched on rather than after a callback. We walk the finished work with you before we leave, and then we stay reachable, because a job you cannot ring anybody about afterwards was never really finished. If something is not right, tell us and we come back.
Red Seal Certified, Licensed and Insured in British Columbia
Every job is done by Red Seal certified journeymen, and Taurus Electric is licensed and insured in British Columbia with liability and WorkSafeBC coverage. A single outlet gets the same electrician, the same code compliance and the same clean-up as a full commercial build. The scale changes, the standard does not. Our installations carry a warranty on workmanship and the equipment we put in is backed by manufacturer warranties, so if something is not right, tell us and we will come back and make it right.
The standard is not a marketing promise, it is what we work to. If you want to see how it plays out step by step on a real job, our process page walks through it from first call to final invoice, and you can meet the team doing the work.
